The extraordinarily versatile Kate- bee keeper, office girl, delivery driver all rolled into one

Our new Apiarist, delivery driver, admin girl, maintenance “man” and much more, Kate, commenced full time with us on May 1st. The last 3 months we’ve all bit our lips and crossed our fingers as new and totally amazing Kate has undergone intensive immune therapy at the Royal Adelaide Hospital to try to combat her severe allergy to bee stings. She’s a pretty tough girl but lifting the lid on 80,000 bees in each of the 100 hives in an apiary can be pretty nerve wracking when just 1 sting has seen her reach for an epipen! Word is she’s now taking 4 stings at a time with no reaction and the hospital still want to inject her every Friday! Boy, who would be an apiarist!
