Hello! I am Anisa, the new office/admin/ordering/blogging girl.
Ive been working for Buzz Honey since the beginning of January and I am having an excellent time.
Ive worked previously in retail, sales and hospitality but Im LOVING admin as i have a little latent OCD and live every day to organise and sort.
You’re likely to catch me if you call up Buzz at the beginning of each week, and now you can put a face to the name.
Lovely to meet you!

Our Newest New Team Member!

January 30th, 2012

We are very excited to have finally received our new wax and honey press from Finland!

We are the first in Australia to try this new commercial wax press. It uses a different method than previously used, which removes all heat from the process. Now we can now truly say our honey is cold pressed.
Isn’t she beautiful!

Our Newest Addition – Hannah!

January 24th, 2012

We are thrilled to welcome Hannah to the Buzz Honey team!

Belinda’s baby is due this week and so Hannah has been handed the reins in the packing shed.

She was thrown in the deep end during December and has proved that she is worth her weight in gold.

She has energy to burn and unparalleled enthusiasm.

We’re packing honey better than we ever have!

Trees for Life grew 500 trees for us this year. It will take some years before the bees get to enjoy them but in the meantime it sure is a great feeling.

Trees for Life grew 500 trees for the property this year-maybe some good honey yields coming in the future! We all rolled up our sleeves for planting!

Belinda and Kat packing honey

June 21st, 2011

Working with 3000kgs at a time now, belinda and kate are hard at work-we bottle by hand, treating the honey carefully and not damaging it by pumping through pressured machinery!

Bee hives are placed strategically at intervals along a row of almond trees.

Finally all 900 hives have been trucked up to the almond groves in the riverland. 900kms each day and 9 days work!

The honey keeps flowing!

July 15th, 2010

The beginning of winter saw unseasonally warm weather meaning the honey just keeps coming!
The Stony Mallee (Diversifolia) has not only yielded (given honey) through the winter which is unusual, but it’s also provided plentiful pollen (bee protein). The bees are very healthy and breeding well. We’re off to a good start for pollenating the Almond trees in the Riverland in August. The warm weather has also enabled the ground flora to flower early providing different pollens (i.e. bees get a varied diet).
